Small rock with a red fabric heart glued on one side. “Love Rocks on FB,” is handwritten in black marker on the other side.
Historical Notes: Love Rocks is a project that started in Oregon to honor the lives of two girls, Anna and Abigail, who were hit by a car outside of their house on October 20, 2013. The project has moved beyond a regional and national one as Love Rocks have found their way all over the world, including Antarctica. After the shooting at Pulse Nightclub, the Love Rocks community worked together to show Pulse, the LGBTQ+ community and Orlando their love and support. Rocks of various shapes with different patterns were sent to be scattered around Orlando from all over the country.
