Description
Wooden star, found with Paul Terrell Henry’s memorial cross (2016.036.0466), painted purple with, “Love,” painted in white on the front. There are handwritten messages written in marker that say, “RIP Paul / Heaven has a new angel in the heavenly choir / Jean Bailey / I am sorry you die / MYA.” On the reverse side, “STARSOFHOPEUSA.ORG,” is handwritten in marker.
Historical Notes: Since 2007, over 65,000 hand-painted Stars of HOPE have been sent to 126 communities and 22 countries with the goal of bringing hope to millions of disaster survivors.
