Description
Double-sided multicolored commemorative coin for DOJ Pride. One side of the coin has the DOJ Pride logo which is Lady Justice with, “DOJ Pride” printed in black ink with rainbow lines around the coin with, “The Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Employess of the U.S. Department of Justice and Their Allies” printed around the lines. The reverse side of the coin has a rainbow fingerprint surrounded by 13 yellow stars in the center with, “FBI PRIDE / ASSOCIATION OF LGBT EMPLOYEES & ALLIES” printed along the edge of the coin.
Historical Notes: DOJ Pride is an organization for all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender employees and allies in all the Department of Justice Offices, Boards and Divisions with the purpose of identifying and addressing issues particularly affecting LGBT employees of the Department, supporting the Department in developing and implementing policies for the elimination of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and serving as a resource for its members, those seeking or considering employment with the Department, and for other interested individuals or groups.
