Historical Notes: The Orlando Magic opened their 2016-17 season on October 26, 2016 by unveiling a banner in the Amway Center to honor the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. The banner displays the number 49 and “Orlando United” on the front, each victim’s name is printed on the back. After the banner was unveiled, Brandon Parsons performed “Forty-Nine Times,” a song he wrote and dedicated to the victims.
