Black reporter’s notebook containing names and locations and a NPPA Photographer ID that has “NATIONAL PRESS PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION / NPPA THE VOICE OF VISUAL JOURNALISTS / George Wilson / Professional Member / EXPIRES 10/31/2016,” and a photo of George Wilson printed on the front with a green sharpie and rainbow remembrance ribbon attached to the lanyard.
Historical Notes: George Wilson is an Orlando-based, award-winning photographer. Wilson had this notebook with him when he took photos that were used in news articles internationally to record details from his conversations with police and first responders. The ribbon on his lanyard was handed to him the first time he walked into the GLBT Center. Wilson was a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Reporting for his collection of photographs of the Pulse shooting aftermath.
