Historical Notes: PlayFest is a nationally recognized program that represents one of the strongest commitments to new plays in the United States. The 2016 season was dedicated to six new plays that explored issues surrounding the Pulse Nightclub attack. From November 3-6, and November 12, 2016, “The Day Before Yesterday,” “Native Gardens,” “Motherland,” “After Orlando,” “Minneapolis/St. Paul,” “Ever After,” and “The Laramie Project,” were performed to honor the Pulse victims.
